The 14th annual Wild Seafood Exchange is a one day conference aimed at the independent commercial fisherman who wants to learn about marketing and direct marketing to restaurants, retailers, brokers and seafood buyers. Seafood suppliers can hear from restaurants and retailers, brokers and seafood buyers about what they need to earn their business.

The 2017 Forum will be held from March 2-4 at the Samoset Resort in Rockland. This is the largest event of its kind in New England – one dedicated to offering fishermen, clammers, lobstermen, aquaculturists, and other related seafood industry participants an opportunity to meet on neutral ground with fisheries managers, state representatives, congressmen, and senators. There are over 30 seminars on different subjects related to the fishing industry, gear regulations etc. In addition, there are family programs, a trade show, a seafood reception highlighting Maine’s seafood, an auction, and more. There is no cost to attend the seminars, tradeshow, or auction.

Attendees travel from 145 countries to do business at the exposition. No other event in the world provides seafood professionals with direct access to qualified buyers and suppliers from all over the globe representing all aspects of the seafood industry.

Fish 2.0 2017 Competition

The 2017 competition is structured with two global thematic tracks and six regional tracks. Businesses compete within their track, and the best from each track come together at the Global Finals at Stanford University in November 2017. The two global thematic tracks are Transparency and Traceability, and Supply Chain Innovation. Regional workshops include Chile and Peru, South Atlantic and Gulf Coast Shellfish, Southeast Asia, the U.S. West Coast, Pacific, and New England workshop. The registration for the global thematic tracks closes on April 29th and the regional tracks have various deadlines.
