Contact Information

Pontchartrain Blue Crab Inc. is a crab meat processor located on the shores of Lake Pontchartrain in Slidell, Louisiana. Since it was founded in 1996, the focus of Pontchartrain Blue Crab (PBC) has been to support local commercial fishermen and to preserve the traditional way of life so unique to southeast Louisiana while observing sustainable fishing practices.

Sold under the brand name ‘Pontchartrain Blues’, PBC’s domestic crabmeat line is composed exclusively of blue crab. The meat is pressure cooked with steam, and then double cleaned by staff to ensure minimal shell content for a quality end product. PBC sources their crab meat entirely from fisheries in the Gulf of Mexico, including the Louisiana blue crab fishery which received MSC certification in 2012.
